SM Mall of Asia Opens Southeast Asia’s First adidas Football Park

SM Supermalls enters a new era of world-class sports destinations with the region’s first integrated adidas rooftop football and retail hub

SM Mall of Asia once again raised the bar for global sports destinations with the launch of Southeast Asia’s first adidas Football Park and adidas Football Specialty Store. adidas and SM Supermalls activated a landmark partnership that strengthens MOA’s status as the definitive home of international sports and lifestyle brands.

Another milestone for SM Mall of Asia. Southeast Asia’s first adidas Football Park now rises at the FIFA-grade MOA Sky football pitch. Where global sport meets scale.

The project transforms the FIFA-grade MOA Sky football pitch into a fully branded adidas Football Park. It pairs a global-standard rooftop pitch with the region’s first football-exclusive adidas retail store. The destination delivers a Play, Train, Gear Up experience built for athletes, young players, creators, and everyday movers who want world-class access in one place.

Sy, SM Supermalls President Steven T. Tan, SM EDD President Hans T. Sy Jr.,  and Mico Gutierrez, PFF

adidas selected SM Mall of Asia for its influence, scale, and ability to build integrated sports ecosystems. MOA’s iconic rooftop pitch, its traction with fitness communities, and its high-engagement environment made it the natural home for adidas’ most ambitious football project in the region.

Momentum for football in the Philippines continues to rise. Youth participation has increased by more than 42 percent. Football content consumption on TikTok has grown by more than 85% year-on-year. Demand for professional-grade facilities is at an all-time high. adidas Football Park answers that demand with a venue built for real play and real progress.

The destination will serve as the new home of the Filipinas Women’s National Football Team. adidas and the Philippine Football Federation will run structured programs, including clinics, leagues, women’s football nights, and seasonal tournaments.

Steven Tan, President of SM Supermalls, said, “adidas chose SM Mall of Asia because MOA delivers destinations that drive culture. adidas Football Park shows how SM builds first-of-its-kind experiences with global partners. This is the new era of SM Supermalls. We create spaces that elevate sports, champion communities, and fuel the country’s next generation of athletes.”

Dave Sexton, adidas Philippines General Manager said, “MOA gives adidas a platform that matches our ambition. adidas Football Park and the adidas Football Specialty Store offer a complete football experience for Filipino players and fans. This destination signals our long-term commitment to the sport.”

The adidas Football Specialty Store beside the pitch carries the most comprehensive adidas football lineup in Southeast Asia. Shoppers can access training gear, footwear, team kits, and exclusive products available only at this location.

With adidas Football Park, SM Mall of Asia sets a new standard for integrated sports destinations in the region. This launch reinforces MOA’s leadership as the preferred home of global brands and signals the start of a stronger, more dynamic sports era for SM Supermalls and the country.
