SM Mall of Asia and BFP Pasay City Launch First-Ever Metro Manila BFP Satellite Office at Government Service Express

 



SM Supermalls executives Engr. Gardose from the Bureau of Fire Protection–Pasay City lead the ceremonial ribbon cutting, marking the opening of the first BFP Satellite Office in Metro Manila at SM Mall of Asia.


Pasay City, Philippines — Essential public safety services are now more accessible than ever as the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Pasay City, in partnership with SM Supermalls, officially opened the first BFP Satellite Office in Metro Manila at the Government Service Express (GSE), Level 2, South Parking Building of SM Mall of Asia on November 19, 2025. 

Designed to bring government services closer to the community, the new satellite office provides easier access to fire safety inspections, permit issuances, renewals, and frontline public assistance—benefiting business owners, tenants, and mall-goers alike.


BFP NCR officials and SM Supermalls representatives welcome the first-ever Metro Manila BFP Satellite Office at SM Mall of Asia’s Government Service Express, offering easier access to fire safety inspections and permit renewals. Located at Level 2 of the South Parking Building, the new satellite office provides streamlined and accessible fire safety services for the public.



This milestone project was spearheaded by FSUPT Alma Cassandra A. Gardose, Pasay City Fire Marshal, making BFP Pasay City the first unit in the NCR to establish a full-service mall-based satellite office through a direct partnership with SM Supermalls. The initiative strengthens SM’s commitment to streamlining compliance processes, improving tenant support, and enhancing community safety.

During the launch event, Engr. Liza Silerio, Vice President for Corporate Compliance of SM Supermalls, welcomed BFP officials and highlighted SM’s dedication to providing space for essential public services through the GSE program. This was followed by a keynote message from FCSUPT Jaime D. Ramirez, DSC, representing  represented by FSSUPT Gay Faltado Florentino, Assistant Regional Director for Administration.


BFP NCR officials present a Plaque of Appreciation and a commemorative clock shaped like the Maltese Cross—the international insignia of firefighters symbolizing sacrifice, service, and bravery—during the Confirmation of Activity Signing Ceremony.



 “With this satellite office, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring a safer, more prepared, and more fire-resilient Pasay City. By partnering with SM Mall of Asia, we bring our services closer to the people—making fire safety more convenient and accessible.” Said SUPT Alma Cassandra A. Gardose, City Fire Marshall of Pasay City in her closing remarks. A Confirmation of Activity Signing Ceremony was also held with FSSUPT Santos C. Gawongna, District III Fire Marshal, along with key officials from BFP NCR.




The BFP Pasay City team stands in unity during the launch, reaffirming their commitment to delivering fast, reliable, and accessible fire safety services to Pasayeños.
