Watsons Philippines’ "Hand in Hand For Good": A Movement Towards a Better Tomorrow

Care that goes beyond the counter. Through the Alagang Pangkalusugan Medical Mission, Watsons brings free medical services and health education to underserved communities.

Leading health, wellness, and beauty retailer Watsons is redefining what it means to care, not just for its customers, but also for communities and the planet. In today’s world, retail is no longer just about transactions; it’s about making meaningful connections. With this in mind, Watsons launches its latest Sustainability initiative: the Hand in Hand For Good campaign. More than a series of products and promotions, it’s an open invitation for every Filipino to join Watsons in building a more caring, sustainable, and inclusive future.

A Retailer that Truly Cares

Watsons has long been a trusted destination for health essentials and beauty favorites. But behind its shelves lies a deeper commitment to sustainability, responsibility, and community upliftment. The Hand in Hand For Good campaign is a bold new step in living out this mission with even greater purpose.

At the heart of the campaign is a simple but powerful insight. Today’s consumers are drawn to brands that reflect their values. People want more than quality products, they want to support companies that care. In response, Watsons is reinforcing its commitment to three core pillars: People, Planet, and Products.

Turning Promises into Action

Building on the success of previous sustainability efforts, this year’s campaign expands its reach. Hand in Hand For Good highlights initiatives that empower individuals, uplift underserved communities, and reduce environmental impact, all while inspiring meaningful action.

Whether through education, advocacy, or hands-on community engagement, the campaign is grounded in tangible actions that inspire and foster real change.

“At Watsons, we believe that every act of care, big or small, makes a difference. Hand in Hand For Good reflects our belief that building a sustainable future is a shared journey. Whether you're a Watsons customer or part of our team, everyone has a hand in shaping a greener tomorrow. Together, guided by our love for the planet, people, and sustainable choice products, we can create a greener and more sustainable future,” said Sharon Decapia, SAVP for Marketing, PR & Sustainability of Watsons Philippines.

Watsons’ eco-conscious stores makes everyday errands a step toward a more sustainable future.

Key Pillars of the campaign include:

  • Community-First Initiatives - Watsons continues to put people at the heart of its purpose by strengthening its support for health and wellness in underserved communities. This includes its ongoing commitment to the Alagang Pangkalusugan Medical Mission, which offers free consultations and health screenings nationwide, as well as its partnership with Operation Smile Philippines to provide life-changing cleft surgeries for children in need.

Through these programs and more, Watsons empowers every customer and team member to play a role in transforming lives one act of care at a time.

  • Greener Store Experience - Sustainability is embedded in the way Watsons stores operate. To reduce energy consumption, stores are equipped with solar panels, inverter appliances, and LED lighting fixtures. Customers are encouraged to bring their reusable bags when shopping. Recycle for Rewards bins are also present in stores, where shoppers can drop off their empty product containers in exchange for points or discounts, encouraging waste reduction and supporting a circular economy.

More Greener Stores are set to follow, making everyday errands an opportunity to care for the planet.

  • Customer Empowerment - Shoppers can now make a difference with their purchases.  Whether it’s supporting local eco-entrepreneurs, helping fund medical missions that bring care to underserved communities, or contributing to tree planting initiatives that nurture our environment, each transaction becomes a small, meaningful step toward a sustainable future.

  • Employee Engagement & Volunteerism - The campaign also starts from within. Watsons team members will be actively involved in outreach programs, environmental cleanups, and grassroots initiatives, reinforcing that genuine care begins at home.

Look Good. Do Good. Feel Great.

More than a tagline, ”Look Good. Do Good. Feel Great.” is Watsons’ north star, and Hand in Hand For Good is its living expression. From product offerings to programs that uplift lives, the campaign demonstrates that health, wellness, and beauty can thrive with sustainability and purpose.

Watsons launches its 'Hand in Hand For Good' campaign, calling on customers and communities to come together for people, planet, and purpose.

SM City Zamboanga: Architecture Inspired by Vinta, Weaving, and the Art of the South

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines, March 2026 - SM Supermalls unveils SM City Zamboanga, its 90th mall in the Philippines, designed as an architectural expression of the culture and artistry of the Zamboanga Peninsula. The mall translates the city’s rich visual traditions into a contemporary lifestyle space where design reflects identity, heritage, and movement. Located along Mayor Vitaliano Agan Avenue in Camino Nuevo, the four level development spans about 61,000 square meters. The building rises with a modern silhouette that introduces a new architectural landmark for the city while drawing inspiration from the artistic traditions that define Zamboanga. The design narrative begins with one of the region’s most iconic symbols, the vinta. Known for its vividly colored sails, the traditional boat represents the maritime culture of the Zamboanga Peninsula and nearby island communities.
