Grupo Agatep CEO named to Campaign Asia-Pacific's inaugural "50 Over Fifty" list

Norman Agatep is one of only two Pinoys in the prestigious list

Norman Agatep, Chairman and CEO of integrated marketing communication firm Grupo Agatep, has been named one of the inaugural honorees of Campaign Asia-Pacific’s “50 Over Fifty”, a list that honors the most inspiring marketing and communications professionals aged 50 and above across the region.

Agatep is one of only two Filipino honorees in the list released last April 29. The “50 Over Fifty” list celebrates outstanding professionals across 14 markets in the Asia-Pacific region. The recognition highlights his decades of leadership, innovation, and lasting impact on the Philippine communications industry.

“The response from the industry for this initiative has been very strong, as we received many highly impressive nominations, making the job of Campaign Asia’s jury, made up of Haymarket managing director, Atifa Silk, and editorial director Robert Sawatzky, extremely difficult,” Campaign Asia-Pacific stated in its official release.

The winners represent a diverse cross-section of the industry–from chief marketers and agency leaders to creatives, communicators, entrepreneurs, and mentors–all exemplifying tenacity, experience, and influence in shaping the future of marketing and communications.

Agatep has long been a driving force in key industry organizations beyond his work in Grupo Agatep. He was a two-term Chairman of the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines (4As) and a two-term President of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP). He has served as Chairman of the Ad Standards Council (ASC) and President of the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP). Currently, he continues to serve the industry as Vice President-External of PRSP, Treasurer of the 4As, and trustee of the ASC. He is also board director of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, the confederation of the world's major PR and communication management associations and institutions, representing over 360,000 practitioners, academics and students across 126 countries.

A passionate educator, Agatep teaches Public Relations and Strategic Planning at the Ateneo de Manila University. Most recently, he was appointed to the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Technical Panel for Broadcasting, Communication, and Journalism.

In recognition of his contributions, he received the CEO Excel Award from IABC Philippines in 2017 and holds the rare distinction of being Accredited in Public Relations (APR)—a mark of excellence and integrity in the field of public relations.

“I am honored to be part of this distinguished group of industry leaders,” said Agatep. “This recognition affirms the purpose that drives our work in the industry–to elevate the standards of communication, inspire meaningful connections, and shape the future with integrity and creativity. I share this with my team and my colleagues in various PR and advertising organizations, whose passion and excellence continue to move our vision forward.”
