Cebuana Lhuillier Distributed Over Php 1 Million in Financial Assistance to Fire-Stricken Families in Isla Puting Bato as Part of Its Kumustahan Initiative

Recently, a devastating fire tore through Isla Puting Bato, Tondo, Manila, displacing 8,000 residents and reducing 1,000 homes to ashes. In the aftermath of this tragedy, Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers, Inc. (CLIB) swiftly responded through its Kumustahan Initiative, ensuring that ProtectMax COC holders received their fire insurance benefits.

By delivering financial assistance directly to affected families, CLIB offered relief and empowered them to begin rebuilding their homes and livelihoods. Each beneficiary not only received their respective cash benefits but was also provided with grocery packages, further easing their financial burden. The atmosphere during the event was filled with joy and gratitude, as beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the assistance.

How Cebuana Lhuillier’s Insurance Claims Made a Difference

Several ProtectMax COC holders in Isla Puting Bato successfully claimed their insurance benefits, with some receiving up to Php 50,000. These payouts provided critical support for families looking to recover and rebuild after the disaster.

Among those who received PHP 50,000 was Ma. Liza Tumandao, a client since 2019, who says, “Thank you sa ProtectMax saka sa Cebuana, di na ko aalis sa Cebuana. Maraming maraming salamat talaga sa Cebuana, malaking tulong sa amin to. Tamang tama kasi, di ko to ineexpect talaga.”
