LoveYourself Inc., a non-profit dedicated to
raising sexual health awareness, envisioned a future where queer and PLHIV
(People Living with HIV) Filipinos could access affirming, inclusive, safe, and
judgment-free healthcare. This vision led to the creation of Luxecare, the
organization's first private clinic arm. Luxecare celebrated its 5th
anniversary last Friday, February 14, 2025—a milestone in the ongoing fight for
queer healthcare equity in the Philippines.
Luxecare: A Safe Haven, A Lifeline
The anniversary celebration brought together
advocates, healthcare professionals, queer ambassadors, and allies to honor
Luxecare's impact and the lives it has transformed. Since its launch, Luxecare
has become more than just a clinic—it's a lifeline.
Since its inception, Luxecare has catered to
over 13,000 clients, providing a safe haven for the PLHIV and LGBTQIA+ community.
On top of their HIV/STD testing services that
they have offered from the very start, they now also provide Gender-Affirming
Hormone Therapy (GAHT) consultations, ensuring that every trans-Filipino has
access to expert medical guidance in their transition journey with their
holistic healthcare approach. In addition to GAHT, they offer e-consultation,
STI testing and treatment, prophylaxis, and pre-exposure prophylaxis, all done
in an inclusive, stigma-free environment, upholding LoveYourself Inc.'s guiding
principles, the 3 Is: iniingatan,
inaalagaan, and inaasikaso.
On top of these, Luxecare offers top-notch,
premium, and readily available aesthetic services that affirm gender identity,
providing personalized and compassionate care for their clients. These services
include acne scar management, CO2 laser treatments, and optimum pulse laser
treatments. Staying true to their mission of empowering the transgender
community, they also offer free treatments like acne light therapy, rosacea
management, and collagen boost rejuvenation
to said individuals who are part of the community.
The anniversary event was also a time for
gratitude—a heartfelt thanksgiving to patrons, partners, and advocates who made
Luxecare's success possible.

Among the esteemed attendees was Dr. Vinn
Pagtakhan, Founder of LoveYourself Inc., who reinforced the organization's
dedication to uplifting the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community. In his speech, he
shared, "At LoveYourself, we are more determined than ever to find
solutions, care for our community, and move forward with hope and
resilience."

Luxecare Looks Ahead with Love
As a gesture of gratitude to the trans community
and its unwavering supporters, Luxecare unveiled significant announcements,
including plans for expansion and exclusive anniversary promos designed to make
queer healthcare even more accessible.
To reach more LGBTQIA+ Filipinos, Pagtakhan also
teased the opening of Luxecare’s sixth branch located in PITX in the next few
months. This enables them to service to more members of the community, ensuring
they get trans-supportive and responsive treatments from a healthcare expert.
Luxecare will also soon launch the X Virtual
Clinic, an online hub specializing in providing STI testing. This innovation is
undergoing its final touches, but will soon be available for their patrons. As
Neithan Cebrano, Luxecare’s Operations Head, has shared, there’s more in store
in the months to come.
