Explore Taiwan's Unique Cuisine and Cultural Charm! Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila Invites Filipinos to Taiwan with Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos, Taiwan’s Tourism Ambassadors


From February 7 to 9, Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila will join the PTAA Travel Tour Expo (TTE 2025) in the Philippines, bringing together 21 organizations and 29 representatives from industry associations, travel agencies, hotels, and theme parks. At the Taiwan Pavilion, visitors will meet Taiwan Tourism Ambassador Gabbi Garcia, her partner Khalil Ramos, as well as famous YouTubers like The Poor Traveler and cycling influencer Xzar Lim, who will share the unique charm of Taiwan. Attendees can taste traditional Taiwanese dessert from MATA Tofu Pudding, enjoy a passionate performance by the indigenous troupe Dancing Piepiya of Forest, and participate in hands-on experiences like silk-screen printing with ONE-ING Screen Printing, and crafting good-luck lion head ornaments with Taiwan Lion Craftsman. Everyone is invited to the Taiwan Pavilion to enjoy a drink and experience the festive atmosphere and vibrant tourism offerings!


Tourism from the Philippines to Taiwan is booming. From January to November 2024, Filipino tourist arrivals reached 415,635, recovering to 91% of the pre-pandemic levels in 2019, making the Philippines Taiwan's largest source of tourists in Southeast Asia and the fifth globally. To strengthen tourism industry exchanges between Taiwan and the Philippines, two Taiwan tourism workshops will be held on February 10 and 11 at Conrad Manila and SMX Convention Center Clark, respectively, expecting to gather over 150 Filipino travel agents, airlines, and mainstream media representatives.


During the TTE exhibition, the Taiwan Pavilion will host several influential Filipino actress, models, and KOLs to attract more visitors to discover Taiwan's diversity. Among them are Taiwan Tourism Ambassador Gabbi Garcia and her partner Khalil Ramos, who have over 13.68 million followers on Facebook. They will visit the Taiwan Pavilion on February 8 to share their travel experiences in Kaohsiung's Pier-2 Art Center, Kaohsiung Music Center, and a Michelin-starred restaurant in Taipei during their Christmas trip last year. Additionally, The Poor Traveler, a renowned YouTuber with over a million followers, will reveal tips for independent travel in Taiwan, while influencer Xzar Lim will share stunning mountain and coastal cycling routes in Kaohsiung and Taitung. Through food and culture, the Taiwan Pavilion aims to showcase the unique of Taiwan to Filipino visitors.


The "Taiwan Pavilion," designed with the theme "TAIWAN–Waves of Wonder," highlights the beauty of Taiwan's four seasons through geometric structures and vibrant color blocks. Serial Photo walls featuring iconic attractions such as Taipei 101, Taichung's Xinshe Flower Sea, Sun Moon Lake Cycling Trail, Tainan's Chimei Museum, Kaohsiung's Formosa Boulevard MRT Station, and Taitung's Green Island Sunrise Hot Springs reflects Taiwan's trends in leisure and sustainable travel. A variety of cultural activities are thoughtfully arranged, including a dynamic performance by the Alishan Tsou Tribe's youth dance troupe, Dancing Piepiya of Forest, showcasing the connection between nature and culture. Visitors can also try interactive experiences such as silk-screen printing fabric spring couplets and red envelopes withONE-ING Screen Printing, and painting good-luck lion head ornaments with Taiwan Lion Craftsman. For the first time, classic Taiwanese dessert samples from MATA Tofu Pudding will be served on-site, offering a taste of Taiwan's culinary heritage to Filipino visitors.
