Poolside Filipino Barbecue is Back at City of Dreams Manila's Wave Restaurant

  

January 10, 2025 – By popular demand, City of Dreams Manila’s Wave poolside restaurant brings back Filipino Barbecue Buffet every Thursday evening from 6 pm to 9 pm until March 27.

Located next to Nobu Hotel’s infinity lap pool and surrounded by a lush landscape, Wave lays out a spread of iconic Filipino street fare and other all-time Filipino favorites, as live music performances by an acoustic duo enhance the al fresco tropical vibe of the restaurant.


An assortment of Filipino street fare and inihaw favorites are prepared a la minute for the indulgence of diners.

Highlights of the hit Filipino Barbecue Buffet include crispy sisig live station and on the grills, inihaw on sticks: Filipino-style pork barbecue skewers, chicken wings inasal, pork ears and mask, chicken liver and gizzard, dried pusit, and chicken and pork longganisa. Balut at Penoy that come with vinegar or chili garlic sauce, and sweet corn served with cheese and butter are the other must-try favorites.

Unlimited draft beer and other beverage choices that are included in the Filipino street food buffet.

Filipino street fare tusok-tusok consisting of skewered and deep-fried treats are also featured: kwek-kwek, fish balls, chicharong bulaklak, kalamares, lumpiang shanghai, tokwa, crispy crablets and dynamite lumpia, served with a selection of sawsawan, bringing the popular street food experience to a deluxe setting.

The wide selection of Filipino barbecue fired on the grill makes the Wave festival a first-rate al fresco buffet.

Mouthwatering appetizers also take centerstage at the buffet, consisting of various kinilaw, the Philippines ceviche, with choice of tuna, tanigue, or oysters soaked in a medley of vinegar, chilies, coconut milk, red onion, ginger, coriander, and cucumber. Pares and mami, and gotong Batangas are the comforting choices for soups, while pansit batil, a savory combination of miki noodles, lechon kawali, chicharong bulaklak and lumpiang shanghai, which comes with an array of condiments, is an irresistible choice.

Other well-loved Filipino street food desserts and snacks such as halo-halobanana cue, kamote cueginataang bilo-bilo and mini version of turon de rhuma, a selection of kakanin, and taho, along with seasonal fresh fruits, cap the experience.

For P1,999 net per person, the Filipino barbecue buffet comes with unlimited beverages consisting of sago’t gulaman, sodas, chilled juices, iced tea, and San Miguel Light and San Miguel Pale draft beers.
