“SUPERMAN” SOARS WITH MIDNIGHT SCREENINGS AT SM CINEMAS

The countdown is over for Filipino fans of the Man of Steel! 

SM Cinema invites audiences to be among the first to witness the return of the iconic superhero when James Gunn’s highly anticipated “Superman” takes flight in theaters at exactly 12:01 AM on July 9 (Wed). 

Starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, the film opens with special midnight screenings at select SM Cinema branches.

Participating cinemas include SM North EDSA, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM Aura, SM Seaside Cebu, SM Sta. Rosa, SM Grand Central, SM Marikina, SM Urdaneta Central, SM Davao, SM Southmall, SM Fairview, SM Cagayan Downtown, SM East Ortigas, and SM Iloilo. Tickets are now available at SM Cinema outlets and online via smcinema.com. 

“Superman” watch parties are also possible through private screenings at SM Cinema for a more intimate cinematic experience. To book a theater, contact SM Cinema outlets.

Ahead of the premiere, Filipino fans gave a rousing welcome to the “Superman” team during the Manila stop of the film’s global tour. The SM Mall of Asia Music Hall came alive with deafening cheers as stars David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, director James Gunn, and DC Studios Co-Chairman and Co-CEO Peter Safran took the stage for a special fan event.

The quartet greeted the enthusiastic crowd with heartfelt messages of gratitude, thanking Filipino fans for their passion and hospitality. Fans who packed the venue were treated to unforgettable moments, with the cast and creators taking selfies, signing memorabilia, and connecting personally with supporters.

As a uniquely Filipino tribute, SM Supermalls President Steven Tan presented the team with custom-made Superman-themed jeepneys—an iconic local symbol to commemorate their visit. The cast also stopped by the SM Mall of Asia Globe, where they posed for photos with the Superman jeepney.
